Angelita Howard, EdD, MBA-PM

Adjunct

Dr. Angelita P. Howard, a native of Atlanta, GA, holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Vocal Performance from Clayton State University.  She earned a Master of Science (MS) in Educational Leadership from Troy State University and Master of Arts (MA) in Teaching from Saint Leo University.  She completed a doctoral degree in Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University (EdD). In addition to the scholarly training associated with her degrees, Dr. Howard has engaged in professional development related to online learning, assessment and planning, and student educational enhancement.

Angelita currently serves as Director for Online Education and Expanded Programs where she is responsible for directing, overseeing, managing and implementing the full range of activities and duties necessary for the operation and ongoing development of online learning initiatives and programs associated with Morehouse School of Medicine. She works closely with course directors, curriculum/program managers, digital learning personnel and other college administrative personnel as required for the operation of the online division. In addition, she is responsible for third year clerkship placement in rural areas, along with clinical affiliation expansion. Prior to this, Angelita served as Vice President for Academic Program Development and Institutional Effectiveness and Planning.  In this role, she directed research and institutional effectiveness activities concerned with educational enhancement programs, school governance, accreditation, and strategic planning. She also chaired the initiative for the accelerated MBA program (approved in 2010).
